The Sandersville First Church of the Nazarene was founded following a tent revival between the Twin Cities of Sandersville and Tennille in 1950. Three recent graduates of Trevecca Nazarene College, Bobby Kea, Verlie Campbell and J. Emory Lindsey pooled their resources to purchase a tent for revival meetings. The meetings started way back when and have never stopped.
Lindsey would go on to pastor the church through moves from a tent to a former machine shop to the current location at the intersection of S. Harris Street (Ga. Hwy. 15) and Riddleville Road (Ga. Hwy. 242) until his retirement in 1997.
Now with a large sanctuary, on and off-site parking, two social halls, a gymnasium and nearly two-dozen Sunday School meeting rooms, there is a physical, and more importantly, spiritual place for you.
With a respect for the past and an impact in the present, the Sandersville First Church of the Nazarene keeps a watchful eye on the future for the purpose of building God's Kingdom. Won't you be part of that effort with us?
